WHAT CAN OUR TEAM DO TO HELP?

I want to be your lawyer.

I was an Assistant United States District Attorney and an Assistant State Attorney General In the late sixties and early seventies. I opened my own private practice in 1975. I spend my time now prosecuting insurance companies.

My practice has been limited to personal injury since 1985.

My office has successfully handled over five thousand personal injury cases since 1985. Most of the three hundred cases presently in the office involve broken bones, serious injuries, or death. Many involve tractor trailers and big trucks.

Some of our cases

1) Our case in Charleston, West Virginia against the largest undivided lottery winner in US history ($314 million) for wrongful death of our client's son who died in the lottery winner's home of a drug overdose.  The case was settled in 2007 for a confidential amount after several days of trial.

2) A fatal jail beating at a Correction Corporation of America women's facility in Nashville ruled a homicide by the State Medical Examiner - Federal Court in Nashville. Mediated in 2006, and settled for a confidential amount.

3) A Greyhound bus hijacking in Manchester, Tennessee, in 2001, with ten killed and thirty two injured. Our case settled in 2005 for a confidential amount.

4) A fatal nursing home fire in Nashville in 2003, where sixteen people were killed. Settled in 2004 for a confidential amount. Mediation took two weeks for all the cases. We represented seven of the death victims and some smoke injury victims.

5) The dumping of 339 bodies into a lake in 2002 by a crematorium in Georgia and passing off cement dust as human ashes - Listen to NPR story. The case settled in 2005 for a confidential amount.

6) A kerosene heater fire in a trailer in 2001 that killed both parents and burned their two children badly. A jury decided against us after a two week trial in Bowling Green, Ky.

7) A police shooting in Lebanon, Tennessee, in 2000 - the wrong house was mistakenly "stormed" by the police and the elderly homeowner shot to death - $450k settlement against the Lebanon police department.

8) A fatal jail beating in Wilson County, Tennessee, in 2003. Settled by our office against the city police and county jail for $450k. We worked closely with the FBI and gave them twenty video tapes where witnesses recounted beatings while in custody.

9) "Bad Perm" case - woman became partially bald as a result of hair salon treatment in Clarksville - settled for $25,000. We enjoyed representing this fine lady because the facts were so unique and challenging. Our expert witness was a stylist in Nashville.

Hire a competent, experienced attorney. The lawyer and his staff do the work. There is enough stress in life without being your own lawyer. Call us at 242-9000 or 1-800-238-7426.
