William I. Shockley

Bill is an attorney and has been with our office since 2009.  He is from a large family with seven children and was raised in Old Greenwich, Connecticut.  Bill graduated from the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut School of Law with honors where he was an editor of the Law Review.

Bill served for 25 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Connecticut, Miami and San Francisco, as well as in Washington, D.C. as Assistant Director of the Attorney General's Advocacy Institute in the Main Justice Building.  Bill prosecuted a wide variety of criminal cases for the Department of Justice.

Bill visited Nashville and found it reminded him of his native Connecticut 30 years ago.  He visited again and decided Nashville was going to be home.  Bill's two older children, Lori and Mark, live and work in California, and he has been blessed by the birth in 2007 of his youngest daughter, Cora.  When asked what he does in his spare time, Bill said, "...spare time?"
