Tennessee man involved in fatal accident

When one car rear-ends another car, the fault almost always lies with the driver behind the vehicle that did the rear-ending, and not with the driver of the vehicle that was rear-ended. Of course, there are very few guarantees when it comes to the law, and certain circumstances can always defy certain expectations, but if you have been rear-ended, chances are that you will not be held liable for the accident. In fact, you could possibly recover compensation.

For most people, compensation from a simple rear-ending may seem a bit excessive. After all, many instances of one vehicle rear-ending another result in minor car accidents, perhaps causing some whiplash or a fender-bender. Unfortunately, this is not always the case depending on the circumstances, and sometimes being rear-ended can result in serious injury or even death. Such a tragedy occurred recently in Arkansas, where a Tennessee man was killed.

According to state police, the two-car accident occurred in the morning, when a Chevrolet truck was heading east down the highway. He rear-ended the Tennessee man's Nissan Rogue, which then struck a tree and fell into a nearby ravine. Police state that the vehicle overturned and landed upside-down, causing the fatal injuries for the driver.

Obviously tragedies like this are among the worst-case scenarios for any accident, let alone a rear-ending, but this story serves as a reminder that such things are possible. Even if the man had survived, he likely would have suffered catastrophic injuries that would have required extensive medical assistance and possibly changed his life. This is why it is always important to remember that legal aid is available for victims of car accidents. If you have been injured in a car accident, or if you have lost a loved one in a fatal accident, consider meeting with an attorney to learn more about your legal options and your chances for compensation.
