There is more than one type of concussion

If you are involved in an accident, it's important to understand that your health is priority number one.

For example, a car accident often results in a blow to the head. The same holds true in a slip and fall, such as on a set of stairs.

Even if you feel okay after the accident, there is no point of risking your health. Instead, you should be immediately examined by a qualified medical professional.

Believe it or not, the symptoms of a concussion do not always reveal themselves immediately. Instead, they can remain dormant for a period of several days or longer.

There are several types of concussion, all of which are extremely dangerous:

-- Grade 1 concussion: While there is no loss of consciousness, this type of concussion typically results in confusion for a period of less than 15 minutes.

-- Grade 2 concussion: Again, there is no loss of consciousness, but confusion lasts longer than 15 minutes.

-- Grade 3 concussion: If consciousness is lost for any period of time, the concussion is considered to be grade 3.

A concussion can change your life in many ways, both when it occurs as well as in the future.

At our law firm, we don't want you to take the impact of a concussion lightly. Instead, you need to realize that this is a big deal, as any brain injury can cause serious trouble.

Over the years, we have helped many people with a head injury receive compensation. If you find yourself in this position, it never hurts to learn more about your legal rights.
